My Room is silent and primarily shows two scenes: the perspective from my bed in my childhood room and a model of the ramp room in the Science Discovery Museum. It shows these scenes in different times of day, through different lighting. Sometimes lines appear in the bedroom to indicate where I was looking, shapes that were important, or details left out of the model. Much of this video is about looking. The camera glances around, shaky and sometimes in and out of focus. The shots are sometimes long or repetitive. Glances, staring, and blindness all play a role. The scenes of the models also blur into abstract shapes or black space. The architectural models become geometry.
